LAGOS, Nigeria – Officials of the crime fighting outfit of the Lagos State Police Command, Rapid Response Squad(RRS) have prevented a frustrated man from taking his life by jumping into the Lagos lagoon.

The affected officers were on routine patrol along the Third Mainland Bridge, when they found the man attempting to take his life. According to the command, the man was arrested and handed over to the policemen at Adekunle Police Station.

“@rrslagos767. Attempted Suicide: RRS officers on patrol along Third Mainland Bridge have prevented a man from jumping into the lagoon in a suicide attempt. He has been rescued and handed over to Adekunle Police Station for investigation. #TheGoodGuys”, the RRS commander, Tunde Disu said in a statement.
