PENTAGON, U.S – Chief of Staff in the Department of Defence, Rear Admiral Kevin Sweeney has resigned.
He is throwing in the towel just about 30 days after Secretary of Defence, Gen. James Mattis resigned from the department.
Rear Admiral Kevin Sweeney, USN (Ret.), has stepped down as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense. He has served in this role since January 2017.
“After two years in the Pentagon, I’ve decided the time is right to return to the private sector. It has been an honor to serve again alongside the men and women of the Department of Defense,” said Sweeney.
