VIRGINIA, U.S – American singer, Christopher Maurice Brown better known as Chris Brown and two of his band members have been detained by French police over claim that he raped a woman in a hotel.
Accordingt to TMZ, French police said he is now in their custody for aggravated rape and narcotics offenses and that he is currently being processed.
The woman in question was said to have met Brown overnight between January 15-16 at club Le Crystal and accompanied the musician to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where she claims to have been raped.
Investigators have two days to decide to file preliminary charges or not.
Chris Brown has been in and out of the court for one case or the other. In 2009 Brown was charged with felony and making criminal threats after he brutally attacked Rihanna in Los Angeles. Brown pleaded guilty to the felony charge and was sentenced to community service, 5 years probation and domestic violence counseling.
