ABEOKUTA, Ogun, Nigeria – Even after he has openly thrown his support for his former vice, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, politicians have continued to pile up pressure on former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo with phone calls, pleading for him to switch support for the other candidate that has potential to win the 2019 general election.
The former president said desperate politicians have continued to put pressure on him to support them to the extent of asking him to name his price. In Nigeria, politicians believe everyone has a price.
But Obasanjo in his witty ways, told them that all he need to switch support is proof of SSCE certificate and 20 million jobs for the teaming youths and they could not proceed with the discussion any further.
“A politician called me this morning and asked me to name my price to earn my support, I told him SSCE certificate and 20 million jobs for the teeming youths. He dropped the call. Please know your worth and cheap people will avoid you.”, he said on the social media.
