LAGOS, Nigeria – The National Broadcasting Commission(NBC) has warned radio stations against continued airing of indecent music that assault sensibilities of Nigerians.
The lyrics in question violates relevant section of the NBC code which prohibits indecent music, vulgar language and anything that will subject the Nigerian people to ridicule.
In a letter dated August 6th to Jodag Global Communication Ltd, the NBC warned the station against persistent airing of vulgar and indecent musical lyrics despite warning.
The musical lyrics classified by the NBC as vulgar and indescent include ” This is Nigeria, Look how we are living now , everybody be criminal by Falz, Wande Coal’s Iskaba, Girl You de make me kolo, shaking the ass like kolo, which contravenes sections of the NBC code.
