ABUJA, Nigeria – President of the Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki has adjourned the Senate till September, 25 2018. He adjourned shortly after 15 Senators announced their defection to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.




Their defection was contained in a letter sent to the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, which he read on the floor of the house.
Those who defected are Sen.

Tejouso, Sen. Shaaba, Sen. Gemade, Sen. Melaye, Sen. Shittu, Sen. Rafiu, Sen. Shitu Ubali, Sen. Isa Misau, Sen. Hunkuyi, Sen. Monsurat, Sen. Danbaba, Sen. Nafada, Sen. Nazif and Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Senate President Bukola Saraki also informed the Senate that the Deputy Senate President ,Ike Ekweremadu could not come out of his House to attend plenary because he is under siege.

The senate also called on the police to vacate residence of Ekweremadu, whose house is still under blockade.
