IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – With effect from Friday September 7, 2018, Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold “BE COURAGEOUS” Regional Convention in Nigeria. The 3-day convention which will kick-off in Daluwon, Ogun State will be held in 34 different locations across Nigeria until December 2018.
There will be 54 presentations including talks, audio drama, interviews and short videos. “It will also include a feature film entitled The Story of Jonah – A lesson in courage and mercy”, A spokesman of Jehovah’s Witnesses Convention, Mr. George Ijeh said in a statement.
He said that those in attendant will benefit from the courage they need to face daunting challenges contronting individuals, familes and the society at large and that the programme will be presented in 20 Nigerian languages including, English, Igbo, Esan, Pidgin, Yoruba, Efik, Gun, American Sign Language, Hausa, Tiv, French, Idoma, Isoko, Urhobo and Ijaw among others.
“When you look at the news today, you can clearly see that people of all ages are dealing with more anxieties and fears than ever before. It takes courage to face these pressures. The convention programe is designed to provide practical advice contained in the Bible”, he said.
Highlight of the programme is the public discourse on Sunday morning. The subject is “The Resurrection Hope Imparts Courage – How? He said the programme commences each day at 8:20 am. In the South-West, the programme will hold at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Daluwon Town along the Mowe-Ofada Road in September 7. It will hold in Lagos at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Ibereko Village, Badagry on September 14 and at Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Ajibona Village, Lekki from September 21, 2018.
He said that the convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses are free of collections since the work is entirely supported by voluntary contribution.
