LAGOS, Nigeria – The Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention Committee, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, has said that the ruling party was not planning to postpone its convention scheduled to hold on June 23, 2018.
Ndoma-Egba stated this while reacting to a media report suggesting that the APC might postpone the date of the exercise due to some problems relating time, level of preparation and paucity of funds.
“Preparation is on top gear for the convention. There is no such plan to postpone the convention. We are not planning to postpone the convention. It will hold as scheduled,” the convention committee secretary remarked in an interview.
According to the APC chieftain, the committee is working assiduously to ensure a huge success of the exercise which will take place in Abuja.
Ndoma-Egba who is the Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was appointed secretary of convention committee about two weeks ago after the resignation of the former secretary, Senator Benjamin Uwajimogu.
