LAGOS, Nigeria – Barring any last minute change, construction works on Ile Epo Market in Agbado, Oke Odo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria will begin tomorrow (Friday). According to the CEO, “The company has taken into consideration the interest of Traders across all strata and the needs of Buyers who will have the opportunity to get best products in one location.

“Once completed, the market will rank among the best in the state with all facilities, modern market can boast of. In the next four months, the contractor will complete the first phase of the shops while the entire project will take 18months.”Onyekachi equally threw out the insinuation(s) that there would be no space for perishable food items, adding that, “The needs of the populace has been taken into consideration with the provision of spaces for perishable food items associated with Ile epo market.

“The Displaced Traders would be given priority upon the completion of the remodelling based on the agreement with the Stakeholders during one of the meetings. The contractor has been compassionate enough to make provisions for Traders to continue with their business in the market.
This is because only one part of the market has been demolished contrary to reports. Worthy of note however is that the redevelopment would be in 3 phases, this is to make ease of trading comfortable for traders.”
