WASHINGTON, United States – The Democratic Republic of Korea(DPRK) has released three detainees, who are citizens of the United States of America. They have been held for months.




President Donald Trump annouced the development on Wednesday ahead of visit to North Korea by Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. He said that everyone is looking forward to meet them and that they are in good health.

They are Kim Sang-duk (also known as Tony Kim) and Kim Hak-song(since April 2017) and Kim Dong-chul, who has been imprisoned since October 2015″, Trump said.

“I am pleased to inform you that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the air and on his way back from North Korea with the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting. They seem to be in good health. Also, good meeting with Kim Jong Un. Date & Place set.
