Mia Ivy, reggae music exponent talks love with Smooth Erand

KILIFI, Kenya – Mia Ivy is breaking new grounds with her brand of reggae music. Ivy, a 4th year student of Pwani University, Kilifi, Kenya is talking love with her new track, Smooth Errand. Through the track, she brings to the fore some of the things that keep many lovers apart and looking forward to meeting after parting for a while.




“It talks about the challenges that they face when they are apart and all the things they look forward to doing together when they eventually meet”, she said.

Mia Ivy, guitarist, started singing in 2014, where she joined a group of artists in Kisumu, Kenya known as Janeqo Krietiv Mainds. They thereafter formed ‘The Creative Band’ through which they hold shows around Kisumu City.

A year later, she was approached by Clastar, the CEO and producer of Streetbreeze Records(SBRS) for a recording session in his studio and later released her first afro-pop song alongside Elvizech Blackangel ‘Don’t Go’. In 2016. Mia Ivy collaborated with Clastar and released another jam, ‘Chords for you’.

In the year 2017, Mia Ivy together with Elvizech Blakangel released another song , ‘Queens Vs Kings’ produced by Crazy Monkey which led her to be voted Female Artist of The Year, Kilifi County, at the Kilifi County Peace Awards 2017.   Click red here to watch the video: https://youtu.be/-6uMq8fKdIw

The same year she released ‘Feelings’ featuring Kisumu rapper MC Elem. Currently, Mia Ivy plays alongside the Jambo Africa band in Mombasa,Kenya. Smooth Errand was recorded in Streetbreeze Records, popularly known as SBRS and produced by Crazy Monkey
