Nigeria's Hiphop musician, Korede Bello visits IGP Ibrahim Idris

ABUJA – Nigeria’s hip hop artiste, Korede Bello is at it again. The musician who was endorsed as Police Youth Ambassador in 2015 recently visited Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris who has been in the storm following his refusal to relocate to Benue State on the order of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari following the massacre of farmers in Benue State.




Korede Bello took to his social media account to share photographs of himself and the IGP in is office. It is a lovely photograph. Korede Bello became the Police Youth Ambassador when Solomon E. Arase was IGP.

In his message during the investiture, Arase had described the youths as the potential security agents and a deciding factor in the security of this nation by their youthful propensity.

He, therefore, urged the Ambassador to take campaign against crime and criminality to other Nigerian youths with a view to deterring them from taking to crime.

IGP Arase advised Nigerian youths to emulate the patriotic spirit of the Youth Ambassador, Korede Bello and shun crime and criminality. He urged the youths to redefine their priorities and contribute their quota in the task of building a great Nigeria that will be the pride of Africa, and the global comity of nations.

He also used the occasion to launch a vigorous anti-crime campaign jingles targeted at creating awareness on the dangers of crime, discouraging young Nigerians from engaging in crime and eliciting public support and participation in tackling crime.

The jingles which are in consonance with the IGP’s untiring efforts at addressing the security challenges of terrorism, insurgency, kidnapping, cultism, rape as well as human and drug trafficking offences, will help in rebranding the nation and generally help to educate citizens on how to avoid victimisation by criminals.

The jingles come in standard English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo languages as well as in Pidgin English version is targeted at Nigerians from all walks of life.
