LAGOS, Nigeria – Special Adviser to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media has called on Nigerians to stop telling her close down Big Brother Naija reality programme streaming live into Nigeria from South Africa.
In a statement, the Special Adviser, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie said Big Brother Naija is an adult programme, stressing that it “is your fault, not mine”, if your children watch the programme.
“STOP ASKING ME TO FIX BIG BROTHER NAIJA. I DON’T HAVE SUCH POWERS. Big Brother is an adult programme. If your children are watching it, it’s your fault, not mine. Grow up & protect your children. It’s not also compulsory to watch. Use your remote control and change the channeI”, she said.
Rated 18, Big Brother Naija is loaded with romantic scene, with housemates having the license to do whatever they like provided it is mutual. So far there is nothing positive to derive from it but the winner is expected to take home N45 million in cash and car.
