WASHINGTON, United States – President Donald Trump has suggested that his government would look at the possibility of arming teachers as a way of increasing safety in the classroom. Trump spoke when he received victims of the Florida classroom shooting at the Whitehouse.

He said the there would be the need to abrograte the present , Gun Free Zone to allow teachers to take guns into the classrooms.

Earlier a friend of one of the girls killed in Florida had queried why it is so easy for individuals to buy weapons of war on the shelf. Andrew Pollack, father of the girl killed who was at the Whitehouse with two of his sons said in an emotion-laden tone: “Iam here becasue my daughter was taken away from me. She was shot 9 times”, he said, adding that it is now in the cemetery that he goes each time he would need to see her, and suggested the need to fix the problem so that children will be safe in the classroom and not allowing some animals to just walk into the classrooms and “shoot our kids”.

At least 17 people were killed on Wednesday when a gunman stormed Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida.

The suspect, according to police is 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz and was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by investigators. He carried out the attack with an AR-15 rifle and “multiple magazines”, police said.

Cruz was formerly a student at Douglas, but was expelled for disciplinary reasons. A teacher at the school said staff had been warned not to let him back on campus. The suspect was alleged to have been receiving treatement for mental health issues.
