IKEJA, Lagos – A-39- Year Old Man Amobi Ilona was today arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja, for defiling his 13-year old househelp, Mary at Ishashi.
Amobi, pleaded not guilty to the one count charge preferred against him. We gathered that Amobi and his wife adopted the victim to help them take care of their new born baby, for three month but Amobi turned her into a sex slave.
Luck ran out of him when his wife discovered that he has been defiling the victim and forced her to take some drugs before taking her to a hospital.
Police prosecutor Imhonwa Simeon told the court that the suspect defiles the victim in his house at No. 16, Awawu street, 13 Shadai, Ishashi area of Lagos in July 2017 and that the offence is punishable under section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos state 2015.
Presiding magistrate B.O Osusanmi granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000.00 with two responsible sureties in like sum. The sureties must be verifiable with current tax paid in Lagos state. She adjourned the matter till January 25, 2017.
