JIBOWU, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria – Motorists who are going to Yaba, Ojuelegba and Lagos Island are in for a very difficult traffic situation due to an accident on Jibowu Bridge, making it impossible for vehicles to pass through the bridge to link Ojuelegba and Lagos Island.
Our correspondent reported that a very long haulage truck ascending the bridge suddenly lost power, forcing it to fall across the bridge and in the process cutting off traffic going to Ojuelegba and Lagos Island.
The development has forced traffic from Jibowu to spill up to Palmgroove and beyond. As at the time of filling the report, officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA were on site, making arrangement to lift off the truck and free up the road for motorists.
