ABUJA, Nigeria – Nigeria has pulled out of 90 international organisations, Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has said.
The minister who made the revelation said Nigeria made the decision to enable her meet up with her international obligations.
She said the decision was arrived at during the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting and that Nigeria spends $70 million every year as a member of 310 international organizations.
She said that a committee has been set up to consider the organizations the country was exiting from and that the committee is expected to submit its report within two weeks.
