JOS, Plateau, Nigeria – Jos, the city of peace and tourism came alive on Friday with incredible performances by music stars like 2Face, Kelly Hansome, Styl Plus, Ruby Gyang, Acetune, Jeremiah Gyang, Bimbo, Malvina Patrick and The Lucky Starz Band as Jos Chillin’ hosted for the first time in Jos, the critically acclaimed ‘Eargasm’ concert at Mees Palace.

It was beautiful music from the outset as The Lucky Starz Band (led by Bolaji), Latoria Bassey and Mima thrilled the audience to a selection of popular African hits as well original compositions before the entrance of ace comedia and event host, MC Amana.

Guests could not contain their excitement as they were teased with sweet music and pleasant surprises. Besides performing their hits, Kelly Hansome, Acetune, Styl Plus & 2Baba gave the audience a treat with a performance of classic R&B/reggae cuts. Styl Plus has been dubbed the Nigerian Boyz 2 Men and they had the crowd in awe when they performed a classic track by the legendary American R&B group.

Surely, it was a night the people of Jos will never forget, most especially 2Baba’s incredible performance as well as Olu Maintain’s surprise appearance during an energetic set by Kelly Hansome among other highlight appearances by Acetune, Malvina Patrick, Bimbo, Tek Band and Osama Apkonuno’s comedic interlude.

Earlier that day, the Jos Chillin’ team led by Mr. Emmanuel Adukwu in the company of 2Baba, Kate Henshaw, Peter Rufai, Ice Prince, Kelly Hansome, Styl Plus, Yinka Obebe, Mr. Efe Omorogbe, Edi Lawani, Kingsley James had paid a courtesy visit to the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Simon Bako Lalong to thank him for the support he has shown to the Jos Chillin’ initiative.

Governor Simon Lalong applauded the Jos Chillin’ initiative and he also had praises for the successful Memorial Lecture and Skills Acquisition Seminar that took place the previous day. Jos icons Ice Prince, 2Baba, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande, Dr. Panam Percy Paul were the key note speakers at the Memorial Lecture.

A cross section of entertainment professionals were also invited to tutor the youths of Jos on different professions within the entertainment industry such as Event Production, TV Production, Acting, Talent Management, Entrepreneurship, Sports, Dance, Media/Event Hosting, Hospitality and Tourism, and Disc Jockeying, they include Africa’s number one DJ, DJ Jimmy Jatt, event management guru Edi Lawani, renowned TV producer Yinka Obebe, legendary actress Kate Henshaw, Efe Omorogbe, Kingsley James, football legend Peter Rufai, Michael Igbelabo and Chris Mekwunye.

Attendees were awarded certificates after the event. Eargasm is a concert property of Buckwyld Media. The Jos Chillin’ edition is the 4th installment of the incredible concert series. Jos Chillin’ is a tourism promotion and human capital development initiative of Mees Palace and Buckwyld Media in partnership with the Plateau State Government.
