ABUJA, Nigeria – The Supreme Court today declared the Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic chairman of the party, and in the process bringing to an end the ambition of factional chairman of the party, Ali-Modu Sheriff.
The judgement now put to rest the leadership tussle which has unsettled the PDP, seen as the only viable opposition to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
