KENSINGTON, London – London Police has confirmed at least 58 persons dead or missing in the fire incident that rocked Grenfell Tower, North Kensington, London.
Commander Stuart Cundy of Met Police said the figure “may increase”. The Grenfell Tower is a 24 storey building with over 150 flats housing about 125 families.
The tower owned by the local government government was renovated at a cost of $12.8 million in 2016. The community believe that at least 70 people are yet to be accounted for.
Meanwhile, 23. year old Mohammed Alhajali has been identified as one of those who died in Grenfell Tower, North Kensington, London.
Mohammad’s family said: “Mohammad was a very amazing and kind person. He gave love to everyone. He came to the UK because he had ambitions and aims for his life and for his family.
“Our whole family will miss Mohammad dearly and he will never be forgotten. To God we belong and to him we return.”
