OGBA, Lagos, Nigeria – At 70, Madam Victoria Ibiyinka Komolafe is living in hell here in Lagos. She has been rendered homeless by land grabbers allegedly led by one Demola Mokuolu with the help of Area G Commandant, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ishola Abdullahi .
Her house at number 8 Akintan Street, Didiolu Estate, Ogba has been totally demolished, leaving her to live virtually in the street.
Demola Mokuola had sued her before an Ikeja Magistrate Court soon after he lost his dad who sold the property to Komolafe. But during the hearing, all he could parade was a copy of of his father’s will. According to Komolafe, “Demola was asked in court to present relevant papers to justify his claim of ownership. But sensing the direction of the case, he rushed to Ikeja High Court where he obtained the fraudulent consent judgement without my knowledge. “, she said.
She said it was when she visited ACP Abdullahi to complain about police harassement that the ACP obviously acting under the influence of Demola knocked her to the floor and break her neck when she intervened when the ACP was physically abusing her son and in the process consigning her to live with POP around her neck for the rest of enternity.
“It was because of this land that ASP Ishola Abdullahi broke my neck. I drove down to Area G with my son to complain about incessant harassement for a matter that is in court. I did not know that the Area Commander wants to kill me. He started beating my son in his office.
“The Area commander told my son, you this boy, if you cannot tell your mother to pack away from that land, I will put gun in your motor, I will put cocaine in your motor but we did not say anything. But when he started attacking my son, I have to intervene. It was then he grabbed me and knocked me on the floor and break my neck. My son has obtained N2 million judgement against him”, she told our correspondent.
She said she bought the disputed land from Mr. Mokuolu and that she obtained all the documents, Deeds of assignment, agreement, receipt of purchase and other documents signed by the Bale, with which she obtained Stamp duty and Cof O.
She said her son rented the frontage on his return from London which he converted into a studio and that the late Mukuolu, a family friend and his sister convinced her to buy the property and that she perfected titles to the land before she built on it.
Now all her properties are now exposed to the rain with allegation that Demola Mukuola who has been visiting mayhem on the property with his group of thugs has resulted to selling her properties after moving some away from the frontage.
She said that on one occasion, the thugs stabbed Seun, her son in their quest to forcefully take over her property. She is appealing to the Lagos State government to call Demola Mukuola to order.
Demola refused to pick our calls when contacted on phone. But a source said at a meeting at the instance of the state, he told officials of the Lagos State government that the property was willed to him by his father.
