AGEGE, Lagos, Nigeria – A Lagos based lawyer, Kasoki Olekanma today told a customary court sitting in Agege that he wants his 15-year-old marriage to Ibukun, his wife terminated on grounds of denial of conjugal rights, abandonment and desertion of their 4 under aged children.
Kasoki had filed the suit claiming that his wife was no longer interested in the marriage, absconded,leaving him to solely cater for the four children they had.
Olekanma, 51, residing at plot 1 block 94, Providence Street, Lekki phase 1 Lagos, claimed that his wife lacked respect and had also failed in her conjugal duties.
Earlier, he had told the court that his wife, Ibukun Olekanma, left home on February 11, 2013 on her own volition and that nobody has seen her since then.
According to him, Ibukun said she had secured employment in Ado-Ekiti.
“I asked her how the children will be taken care of in her absence but she told me to take care of them since I am used to doing that,” adding that he waited for Ibukun for three and half years but that she did not return home.
“The last time l heard from her was when the court served her summons and l keep seeing her online, on a website called “Baddoo”, (met for those looking for love).
