ABUJA, Nigeria – A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today granted the former Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Andrew Yakubu bail in thensum of N300m with two sureties in like sum.
The presiding judge, Ahmed Mohammed ordered that the sureties must have a landed property in Abuja, while one must be resident in Abuja.
He also ordered him to deposite his international passport with the court pending determination of the case.
He will however remain in prison custody until he is able to meet with bail condition.
The court has adjourned the case to 9th May for the commencement of the trial.
Yakubu was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) after he admitted owning over $9.8 million cash wich was found in his house Kaduna State.
