CHISINAU, Moldova – The Personal Representative of the Austrian OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism, Rabbi Andrew Baker, is visiting Moldova from 28 February to 3 March 2017.

He will look at the country’s subsequent measures to commit the necessary resources to strengthen the commemoration and study of the Holocaust in a local context for the purpose of promoting the spirit of tolerance, humanism and mutual respect.

Rabbi Baker will meet with President Igor Dodon, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii, Minister of Education Corina Fusu, Minister of Culture Monica Babuc, and Director General of the Bureau for Interethnic Relations Oleg Babenco, among other government officials. He will also meet with civil society representatives, including representatives of the Jewish community of Moldova.
