WASHINGTON, United States – The White House, the seat of the U.S Government has began measures to censor the American Press by locking out major media outfits like the Cable Network News, CNN, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and many others.

The White House probably acting on President Donald Trump’s order barred those media house from entering the White House where a press briefing has been scheduled.

“By now you may have heard that CNN, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and other reputable news organizations were banned today from the White House press briefing”, the Centre for Public integrity said in a statement.

It added that these sorts of actions chill the practice of journalism and compromise the ability of the media to provide people with the information they need to make vital decisions about their health care, their families, their education and their communities.

The media house targeted fall within what Trump has consistently classified as those publishing fake news.
This development is seem as a slap on America which prides itself as a society with the greatest freedom of expression.
