OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – The Owerri South-South tour with Mr 2kay and the Christian brothers brandy held on the 4th of February 2017 at the Las Vegas lounge Owerri.
Guest arrived and where served with the Christian brothers brandy for tasting. Mr 2kay, Illbliss and Idahams arrived at about 11:45 pm and the club was filled to the brim.
Idahams kicked off the performance and was well received. The man of the night Mr 2kay wowed the crowd. The crowed interestingly where requesting more songs from his old catalogue especially waterside boy.
According to Mr 2kay “it was a lovely night to meet with my fans in Owerri the fact that they were requesting songs from my debut album shows they were real followers and have been very supportive in the past years”
The night ended with the acts partying and taking pictures with the fans. The next stop is Port Harcourt on Mr 2kay’s birthday on the 11th of February 2017 at the Sky bar Genesis complex G.R.A.
Abiye David Jumbo is a Nigerian singer and song writer signed to Grafton Entertainment. The Afro Pop sensation popularly known as Mr 2kay was born in Port Harcourt but moved to Bonny Island, Rivers state shortly after his birth.
Mr 2kay shot to prominence after his first single Waterside Boy. Although that single did not garner him international recognition, he however, got the well deserved international acclaim after he released Bubugaga in 2012 which was reviewed by UK top music magazine, MixMag and rated for TheDailyMirror by Top British Mainstream Daily.
After the success of Bubugaga, Mr 2kay went on to release hit singles like Addicted, Summer Girl, Bad Girl Special, Who No Like Better Thing , Count it All Joy and most recently , Woods among others.
With an Album( Waterside Boy) and a very successful EP (Count It All Joy) to his name, Mr 2kay has successfully stamped his name within and outside the shores of Nigeria. Judging by the awards to his name : PNA Youth Award 2014, Nigeria Entertainment Awards for Best Collabo of the year and Artiste of the Year also in 2014, Niger Delta Achievement Awards for Song of the Year and Video of the Year in 2015, as well as nominations like Best Reggae/Dancehall Single for The Headies also in 2015, Mr 2kay , no doubt, is one artiste that promises to keep the world spell bound.
