LONDON, United Kingdom – Major auto makers like Toyota (Lexus), Ford, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls Royce, Land Rover, Vauxhall, Chirokee Jeep, Chevrolet, SsangYong, Fiat have recalled some of their brands for the month of January ending based on faults that needed to be fixed by the respective brands for safety of drivers.
According to Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, Ford Motors is recalling the Ford Transit Connect/ Ford Tourneo connect because they are suspicious that the panoramic roof may detach, while Toyota is recalling the Corolla brand based on suspicion that the driver’s side airbag may rupture.
It is also recalling the Lexus NX200T and NX300H because the parking brakes may not activate correctly. Chevrolet UK is also recalling the Chevrolet Captiva due to possibility of fire in motion. Vauxhall is also recalling Antara due to possibility of fire while driving as well as the Vauxhall Meriva B because the seatbelt may not function correctly. It is also recalling the Vauxhall Astra K because the front seat passenger airbag may not deploy as intended in the event of collision or other accident.
Also affected in the January recall is Volkswagen which is recalling the VW Tiguan 5N because the front seat backrest may collapse in the event of collision. SsangYong is recalling the SsanYong Rodius and Turismo because the chock absolver may fail, causing front wheel to rob on wheel arch. Also affected in the recall is Chirokee Jeep because the seat may not perform properly in the event of collision.
Land Rover is recalling the following brands, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evogue with 2 litres diesel vehicle with automatic transmission due to electrical short circuit in the system. Mercedes-Benz is recalling the Mercedes Benz Sprinter because the trailer hitch may detach in motion, while Volvo Bus is recalling the B5LH 7900 because engine hitch may show closed in error enabling engine to restart and the B5LH due to overheating problem.
Rolls Royce is recalling the Rolls Royce Dawn because the front mounted side airbag may fail to deploy in a collision. Man bus is recalling Man Bus P20, P21 and P22 because maintenance flap may open unintentionally. Likewise, Fiat is recalling the Talento due to incorrect load capacity listed for interior hooks, while Wrightbus is recalling Street Vibe, Streetlite and Streetdeck because parking brakes can be released before full air pressure is achieved.
Scorpion Automotive limited is recalling Datatool S4 Red/Triumph Accessory alarm /immobilizer because alarm immobilizer may malfunction.
The rest are motorcycles. Honda is recalling the motorcycle brand CBR300RA 2015 – 2016 because engine mall stall and fail to restart while Suzuki Motorcyles is recalling the model, DL650A/XA L2-L6 and LT-A750X – XP L6 –L7 ATV because the engine may stall and fail to restart.
