ABRUZZO, Italy – Eight people amond them children have been recued from Hotel Rigopiano in Abruzzo, Italy, which was hit by terrible avalanche on Wednesday.

The eight were found alive as rescuers dig through thick snow in search for those accomodated in the luxury hotel.

At least 20 tourists, 7 staff and children were said to be in the hotel when rhe avalanche occured.
Also rescued. alive were dogs used by the hotel for security purposes, Mailonlime reported.




Italian news reported that the number of people found alive under the rubble of the avalanche has risen to eight, including two children.

An estimated 30 people were buried under the Hotel Rigopiano in Italy’s snow-bound Abruzzo region after a huge avalanche covered the resort on Wednesday. Two people initially escaped the devastation and called for help.
