Nigeria – The PDP family led by H. E. Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi has congratulated the former Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam on the occasion of his 52 birthday anniversary.
In a statement, by Chimwe Nnorom, the party said Gabriel Torwua Suswam was elected twice in 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a member of the Federal House of Representatives for Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency of Benue State; and equally elected twice as the Executive Governor of Benue State in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
“Mr. Suswam no doubt, made valuable contributions during his service years in the National Assembly towards the development of legislations for the general well-being of Nigerians and in particular, his immediate Constituency.
“As a two-term Governor, he left milestone achievements in Benue State with his ‘Greater Benue Policy’ for total emancipation of the people of his State which still remains indelible in the minds of citizens of Benue State and its environs.
“At 52, the former Governor is working tirelessly to keep our great Party intact in Benue State, and also contributing immensely in the Party at the zonal and national levels. We commend and urge him to continue the good work of rebuilding and repositioning the PDP to greater height”, PDP said.
