Geneva – Two luxury cars have been seized from Teodorin Obiang Nguema, son of the President of Equatorial Guinea by prosecutors in Switzerland.
Teodorin Obiang Nguema(47) who is also the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea was accused of acquiring the luxury cars, a Porsche valued at more than $830,000 (£667,000) and a Bugatti Veyron which sells for $2m (£1.7m) with proceeds of corruption.
So far, a total of 11 cars have been seized from him.
The accused who is due in court next year in France on charges of corruption and embezzlement is said to have plundered his country’s oil wealth, using it to buy luxuries, including a private jet and Michael Jackson’s Memorabilia.
President Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea, who promoted his son to Vice President has ruled the country since 1979 and is seen as a repressive ruler.
