Washington – President-elect, Donald J Trump will be sworn in January 20th, 2017 as the 45th President of the United States of America.

Not many believed that he could secure victory based on hatred by some in his party and the American in general based on their impression about is personality and manifesto.

Nobody gave him a chance during the primaries in the Republican Party. He cried wolf that the primaries was on the verge of being rigged and eventually, he emerged candidate of the party.

Again, he used the same political tactics in the wake of Hilary Clinton’s email scam and eventual clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, nothing that it was a grand cover up by those in authority but left the decision to the American voters. Today, he is President-elect of the US.

But how did get this far? By the close of polls, Trump polled a total vote of 58, 117, 677 about 48.7 percent of the total votes cast and 276 electoral college votes, 6 electoral votes above the 270 electoral votes required to be declared President of the United States.

His closest rival, Hilary Clinton of the Democratic Party, polled 57, 646, 170 about 47.4 percent of the total votes and just 218 electoral college votes.

The republicans won 51 Senate Seats while the Democrats got 47 Senate seats. The Republican Party won 235 seats in the House of Representatives while the Democrats won 191 seats.
