Lagos, Nigeria – A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos was today told that former Minister of Aviation and Director General Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode who is on trial by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been transferred from EFCC custody to Kuje Prision, Abuja.

Fani-Kayode and two others, Nenade Esther Usman, Danjuma Yusuf and Joint Trust Dimension are standing trial on N1.5billion campaign fund allegedly diverted from the Arms deal. He has been admitted to bail in the sum of N250 million and a surety in like sum.




Counsel to Fani-Kayode, Mr. Wale Balogun had told the court, presided over by Justice Hassan that his counsel currently on bail could not appear in court because his counsel was rearrested in the court premises October 21, 2016 and moved to Abuja where he is facing trial on 5 count charge involving N26 million.

He told the court that though his client has been granted bail, he is yet to perfect bail and was this morning moved to Kuje Prison pending perfection of bail. More to follow.
