TENSION IN US AS ISIS CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR ATTACK IN MINNESOTA

US, Sept, 19, 2016 – The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has claimed responsibility for the stabbing attack in the US State of Minnesota on Sunday.

In a statement by the AMAQ, a website linked with ISIS noted that its fighter, a soldier was responsible for the attack and that the attack was a response to calls to target citizens of countries belonging to coalition of ISIS.

“The executor of the stabbing attack on Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the attack in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition”, the statement said.

The attacker stabbed nine people at a Minnesota mall before he was shot dead by a police officer. Meanwhile, 3 of the 9 victims are still receiving treatment in a Minnesota hospital.

While things were yet to settle, five suspicious items were found in a container in New Jersey. FBI Newark, identified the substance as improvised explosive devices in his tweet.

” There was a suspicious package with multiple improvised explosive devices this evening at the Elizabeth Train Station in NJ. #Elizabeth”, he tweeted. He added that in the course of rendering one of the devices safe, it detonated, adding that there was no injury.
