Monaco, Sep 27, 2016 – The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) today ratified two world records, the World U20 records for men and women and World records also for men and women.
The World U20 records ratified are Men’s javelin: 86.48m won by Neeraj Chopra (IND) Bydgoszcz 23 July 2016. Previous record was 84.69m set by Zigismunds Sirmais (LAT) Bauska 22 June 2011.
The World records are women’s 100m hurdles: 12.20 (0.3m/s) Kendra Harrison (USA) London 22 July 2016. The previous record was 12.21 (0.7m/s) Yordanka Donkova (BUL) Stara Zagora in 20 August 1988.
Others are Women’s 10,000m: 29:17.45 won Almaz Ayana (ETH) at Rio de Janeiro 12 August 2016. The previous record was 29:31.78 won by Wang Junxia (CHN) Beijing 8 September 1993.
Others are men’s 400m: 43.03 won by Wayde van Niekerk (RSA) Rio de Janeiro 14 August 2016. Previous record was 43.18 won by Michael Johnson (USA) Seville 26 August 1999, and the women’s hammer 82.29m won by Anita Wlodarczyk (POL) Rio de Janeiro 15 August 2016.
The previous record was 81.08m Anita Wlodarczyk (POL) Cetniewo 1 August 2015.
