HURRICANE HERMINE: 3 US STATES DECLARE EMERGENCIES IN 139 COUNTIES

USA, Sept., 06, 2016 – State of emergencies have been declared in about 139 counties in three states of Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia in the United States in the wake of Hurricane Hermine which made land fall in Florida as a tropical storm last week.

Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland, his colleague at New Jersey, Chris Christie and the Governor of Virginia, Mr. Earl Ray Tomblin have all declared state of emergencies in the counties ahead of the Hermine.

In Maryland, Hogan declared emergencies in 13 counties. They affected counties are Dorchester, Charles, Saint Mary’s, Calvert, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Kent, Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Cecil.

In New Jersey, Christie declared emergencies in four counties. They are Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean.

More counties were affected in Virginia, whereTomblin has declared emergencies in about 122 counties.
The affected counties are Loudoun, Culpeper, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Manassas City, Prince William, Manassas Park City, Fairfax, Clarke, Fairfax City, Falls Church City, Arlington, Stafford, Accomack, Alexandria City, Fredericksburg City and Spotsylvania.

Others are Caroline, Northumberland, Orange, Richmond, Westmoreland, Essex, King and Queen, King George, Lancaster, Middlesex, Hanover, Frederick, Winchester City, Page, Warren, Shenandoah, Madison, Harrisonburg City, Rockingham, Augusta, Albemarle, Charlottesville City, Fluvanna, Nelson, Amherst, Greene, Louisa, Waynesboro City, Gloucester, Amelia, Nottoway, Buckingham, King William, New Kent, Goochland, Mathews, Cumberland, Charles City, Henrico, James City, York, Chesterfield, Powhatan, Richmond City, Williamsburg City, Isle of Wight and Northampton.

Still on the list are Chesapeake City, Suffolk City, Virginia Beach City, Norfolk City, Newport News City, Hampton City, Poquoson City, Portsmouth City, Petersburg City, Prince George, Dinwiddie, Brunswick, Southampton, Sussex, Colonial Heights City, Surry, Emporia City, Greensville, Franklin City, Hopewell City, Prince Edward, Mecklenburg, Lunenburg, Charlotte, Appomattox, Halifax, Campbell andRoanoke City.


The remaining affected counties are Botetourt, Roanoke, Montgomery, Carroll, Patrick, Henry, Pittsylvania, Franklin, Pulaski, Floyd, Bedford, Craig, Bland, Giles, Martinsville City, Radford City, Salem City, Bristol City, Washington, Scott, Wise, Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Norton City, Grayson, Smyth, Wythe, Tazewell, Galax City, Staunton City, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge, Buena Vista City, Alleghany, Covington City, Lexington City, Lynchburg City and Danville City.

Emergency refill procedures are in place from September 3, 2016 through October 3, 2016.
