Nigeria, Sept.05, 2016 – Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina to condemned all those criticizing the present government, stressing that only anarchists will call on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.
There have been calls recently, most especially from the leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condemning the current government for plunging Nigeria into recession and calls for the President to resign and sack his economic team including Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Minister of Finance.
Adesina who was speaking on Fact File on Raypower against the economic recession, said that if Nigerians believed it when Minister for Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun predicted that Nigeria will be recession, they should also be patient with her when she predicted that Nigeria will be out of recession by the end of the year.
He said that in 2015, Nigeria only earned $50 billion from oil sales and but that it paid salaries of N155 billion and called on Nigerians to be patient with Buhari, pray and encourage him, adding that Nigeria will get out of recession in time.
He also criticized former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for leaving government with a reserve of $30 billion when crude oil sold at over $100 per barrel, whereas, his ailing predecessor, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua left a reserve of about $75 billion dollars and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo left $70 billion in foreign reserve.
