Nigeria, August 23, 2016 – Some 84 students of the Lagos State University narrowly escaped expulsion from the university for dressing indecently within the school premises.
The students according to the university authorities were magnanimously pardoned and were giving warning letters instead of expulsion letters. Recall that some students were expelled from the school recently for examination malpractices and other offences.
The 84 affected students are Obokohowo Innocent A., Babajide Zainab Motunrayo, Sanni Manam Temitope, Allen Oreoluwa, Jibowu Ifeoluwa, Adeola Victoria , Adedeji Oluwakemi, Shitta Oluwadamilola Haisha, Osho Titi, Abosede Stephen, Adesumobi Opeyemi Ife, Edogbo Blessing Ochobis, Olotu Funmilayo Ibukun, Wuraola Omolayo Omosewa and Adekola Opemipo Deborah.
Others are Idowu Oluwatosin Alice, Taiwo Esther, Kazeem Bukola Balikis, Ademola Temitope, Orowole Toyin, Aderibigbe Sekinat, Moses Kehinde Serah, Elemide Jadesola, Ademuwafun Ibukunoluwa .M, Kehinde Oluwatobi Elizabeth, Olapade Kanyisola, Boardman Esther, Adeyemi Damilola Ganiyat and Akinseye Ayooluwa.
Still on the list are Jacob Blessing, Olateju Olaibeji Fadesaye, Wahab Oluwatimilehin, Odubole Arionola Tope, Omiditan Rukayat Ayobami, Erinfolami Adebola Esther, Afuye Oluwatoin Kafayat, Ogunshakin Funmilayo, Yahya Buether Adibaah, Adeleye Hannah Adnike, Alison Idris, Saka .B. “The students have been magnanimously pardoned by the University Authority and were warned to desist from the act of Indecent Dressing, henceforth, or face disciplinary action”, LASU authority said in the statement.
