Abuja, July 15, 2016 – All roads lead to Gombe on Saturday where Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach, Manu Garba’s first son, Mubarak, would get married to his beautiful fiancée Fatima Aminu Musa at a wedding Fatihah to be held at Miyyeti Central Masjid Mosque.
Admirably called ‘Sheikh Mubarak’ for his deep knowledge of the Holy Quran, Garba’s protégé is a diploma holder in Information Technology from Federal University of Maiduguri and currently a final year student of Islamic Interpretations at Egypt’s oldest degree-granting university, Al-Zahra University.
Blessed with five children, Garba in 2013 gave out his first daughter Faiza, a qualified nurse, in marriage to Mallam Muhammed Kabiru Ibrahim at Usman Kafinta Mosque in Herwagana district in Gombe.
Speaking with thenff.com about Saturday’s ceremony, Garba said he was enthusiastic about the wedding for obvious reasons: “Glory to Almighty Allah for keeping my family and I alive in order to witness this occasion because Mubarak is our first and only son and as parents, we are happy that he’s getting married on Saturday.”
The former captain of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri continued: “Mubarak is a blessed son and he has given us tremendous joy since he was born and as a Muslim, we are happy that he’s a Hafiz (someone that can memorize and recite the Holy Quran perfectly).
“He is God –fearing and I thank God that he endowed him with intelligence and we are grateful that he’s always a reference amongst his peers,” added Garba before departing Abuja for Gombe for the ceremony.
