Nigeria, May 16, 2016 – There was confusion this morning when some group of policemen pounced on a cab driver that apparently disobeyed an order to stop by Adigboluja Police Station, Ojodu-Abiodun, Ogun State.
The policeman, according to eye witness, four of them dressed in police T-shirt all armed with AK-47 rifles had suspected occupants of the green Toyota Yaris with tinted glass and flagged them down.
”The occupants, two boys and a lady were casually dressed in white singlet and short trousers but the lady who was putting on a jeans trouser and a top”, the eye witness said.
We gathered that the policemen were infuriated by their refusal to stop, forcing them to embark on a chase and caught up with the driver just few metres away.
”What followed was an eyesore. The driver was dragged out of the vehicle, followed by shouting bouts, pushing, shoving and kicking of the driver. The policemen called for reinforcement, searched his car spiritedly and found nothing. He was eventually wicked away to the police station”, we were told.
