Zürich, April 11, 2016 – Federation of International Football(FIFA) has warned Nigeria against implementing the April 8 judgment in Jos which sacked the Amaju Pinnick-led Nigerian Football Federation(NFF).

The court had upheld all previous orders, which ruled in favour of Ambassador Chris Giwa.

The NFF thereafter appealed the decision, and obtained a stay of execution order.

But in the FIFA letter signed by Acting General Secretary, Marcus Kattner, the football ruling body reminded parties that by article 13 and 17 of the FIFA Statutes, all member associations are to manage their affairs independently and with no interference from third parties.

“In addition and according to article 68 of the FIFA Statutes, recourse to ordinary court of law is prohibited, unless specifically provided for in the FIFA regulation….

“ In view of the above, the decision of the Federal High Court in Jos, if implemented, would likely be considered as interference in the internal affairs of the NFF and the case would be brought to the highest authority of FIFA for consideration of sanctions including suspension of the NFF’’, FIFA said in the letter.
