March 11, 2016 – Stanbic IBTC Bank today said that safety of clients and visitors remains its top priority.
The bank, which was reacting to reported fire incident at one of the branches in Ogba said no life was lost in the incident but that properties were damaged by the incident.
In the statement, Media Consultant to the bank said, Mr. Phillip Odiakose said the relevant emergency services were promptly notified and that they acted swiftly and effectively contained the fire.
“Thank you for your concern and enquiry. We can confirm the unfortunate fire incident at our Ipaja office premises yesterday 10 Thursday, March, 2016.
“However, the relevant emergency teams were swiftly notified, and as a result of their speedy response the fire was effectively contained.
“Although properties were damaged in the cause of the fire, there was no loss of life. Our top priority at all of our facilities at all times remains the safety and security of our clients, customers, visitors, and employees’’, the bank said.
