Nigeria, March 30, 2016 – First daughter of late elder statesman and legal luminary, Tunji Braithwaite, Dr. Omowunmi Braithwaite today said his was not a cash-and-carry human rights crusader like any other living crusader.

She also said the footsteps of his father will be impossible to fill. She spoke when the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode paid the family a condolence visit in Lagos.

“I want to thank His Excellency for finding time out of his busy schedule to come and commiserate with us. We are highly grateful for this. My father’s footsteps will always be impossible to fill, considering the kind of life he lived and the legacy he left.

“He was a fearless man, God fearing, always raising the bar and not up for sale at any costs. He was unwavering in his disposition and was one who stood by what he believed. My father would never compromise on standards he believed to be right and true. I can clearly say he would go down as one of the greats this nation has produced and it is indeed a great loss,” she said.
