The channel which ran on channel 416 on Digital Satellite Television, DStv suspended broadcast in the last 24 hours. No reason has been advanced for the stoppage, but the message relayed on the channel is that transmission will resume as soon as possible.

Arise channel operates from the US, where the publisher has been in hibernation following his trail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) over the $2 billion arms scandal.

In a reply to his letter of invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Obaigbena said all the money received from the former NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki retd was to mitigate effects of attack on the offices of THISDAY newspapers in Abuja and Kaduna on Thursday April 26, 2012 and other newspapers.

Obaigbena launched two television stations, Arise News and Arise 360 in February 2013. The publisher who made the announcement in Lagos said Arise News will broadcast core news while Arise 360 will take care of entertainment and lifestyle.

He said the stations will broadcast live from four cities, Lagos, London, New York and Johannesburg.
This is the second time, Obaigbena was venturing out of Nigeria for business after failing to run THISDAY successfully in South Africa.
