Bahram remains in prison under harsh conditions for merely practicing his faith. Jehovah’s Witnesses respectfully ask that he be released

Turkmenistan, February 17, 2016 – Witnesses in Turkmenistan are not finding it easy even though the leave in a country that guarantees religious freedom.

By March 14, it will be a whole year since, one of its members, Brother Bahram Hemdemov was arrested and put in prison for holding peaceful religious meeting in his home in Turkmenabad, Turkmenistan.

He was not only arrested, beaten like a criminal and hounded into prison for holding a peaceful religious meeting.
He was imprisoned even when the constitution of Turkmenistan guarantees the rights to practice any religion alone or in association with others.

These illegalities have continued even as the country led by President Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov continues to turn a deaf ear to plea for his release.
