NIGERIAN AUTHORITIES CONFIRM 58 DEAD, 78 INJURED IN DIKWA BOMBING

Borno, Nigeria, February 10, 2016 – Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) have confirmed that 58 people were killed and 78 others injured after suicide bombers detonated explosive devices yesterday at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Dikwa, Borno state.

The incidents occurred when the IDPs queued up to collect their morning food in the camp which accommodates over 50, 000 people displaced by the Boko Haram terrorism.

The Zonal Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency in North East, Mr. Mohammed Kanar only confirmed that some of the dead have been buried while the injured have been moved to medical facilities for adequate treatment.
