US, February 21, 2016 – The 43rd Governor of Florida, USA, Mr. Jeb Bush last night dropped out of the race for US President.
Bush announced his withdrawal after losing the South Carolina Caucuses Primaries to Donald Trump, both seeking nomination to represent the Republican Party during the Presidential election in November.
While announcing his withdrawal from the race, Bush, who is the second son of former US President, Mr. George W. Bush said when he flagged off his campaign in Miami, he promised to campaign as much as he would serve, adding that he has kept that promise, by given the American people his vision for the Presidency.
He said that America deserves a president for everyone, a servant and not a master and that the president is not bigger than anyone, but certainly bigger than any candidate.
He said that the next President of America should be somebody who will make America strong and safer.
“ A servant not master, someone who will make the improbable possible’’, he said, adding that over the years, America has retreated from its value as a country that thinks big and acts without apology.
He said he is proud of the campaign he has run so far to unify America
“The people of Iowa have spoken, so tonight I suspend my campaign”, he said, and thanked those still in the race.
He equally thanked members of his campaign for engaging in door to door campaign but acknowledged that it has been a tough campaign for the nomination as expected of the campaign for President.
