January 29, 2016 – The Supreme Court today sacked Senators Stella Oduah and Andy Ubah both representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Senate.
The court also named John Emeka, Anambra North and Annie Okonko(Anambra Central) as replacement for the two. All four are members of the PDP. The dispute arose as a result of different primaries conducted by the party.
An Appeal court had earlier few days ago sacked Senator Uche Ekwunife (Anambra Central) and ordered fresh elections for the senatorial district within 90 days.
