December 31,2015 – The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers(NUPENG) has threatened to stop further supply of diesel and kerosene to the Lagos State Government for refusing to pay debt of N224 million it owed the union.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Chairman, NUPENG, Lagos, Mr. Tokunbo Korodo said the debts were incurred during the administration of Mr. Babatunde Fashola, when NUPENG through direct labour supplied diesel and kerosene to the Lagos State Government.

He said the products were supplied between January and June 2015 adding that since then the union has not received any payment and called on Governor Akinwumi Ambode to clear the debt.
