December 11, 2015 – Federation of International Football (FIFA) said it has acknowledged confirmation of its 90 days ban on President Union of European Football Association(UEFA), Mr. Michel Platini (79) by Court of Arbitration for Sports(CAS).

Platini was provisionally banned by the adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee, subsequently confirmed by the FIFA Appeal Committee.

FIFA noted that with the decision, CAS has ratified the proceedings of the independent Ethics Committee.
The adjudicatory chamber has stated that it intends to come out with a final decision on Platini later in December.

Platini was banned on charges of four breach of ethical code which includes mismanagement, conflict of interest, false accounting and non-co-operation with or criticising the ethics committee and payment of £1.3million to Platini as part of an oral agreement made with Blatter 13 years earlier. Platini worked as an adviser to suspended FIFA President, Sepp Blatter.
