November 18, 2015 – It was a night of glory for Nigeria last Sunday during the 2015 edition of the Africa Music Award(AFRIMA). Nigeria won six awards in music including the sole award in journalism in the continental category. It also clinched all the awards in West Africa.
Kid sensation, Kiss Daniel emerged as the Most promising artiste in Africa with his hit song, Woju while Flavour was Best Artistes in African Electro with his popular music, power to win.
Praiz bagged Best Artiste in African R & B and Soul with the album if I fall, while Project Fame revolution, Darey emerged Best Artiste in Inspirational Music, with his song Pray for Me.
Others are Adekunle Gold who emerged as Revelation of the African Continent, with the album Sade.
Kunle Ayo got Best Artiste in African Jazz with the album, Joromi, originally composed by the legendary Sir Victor Uwaifo. Oris Aigbokhaevbolo was crowned Music/entertainment Journalists of the year with his piece, Going Country, Nashville Lives.
Yemi Alade won Best Female Artiste in West Africa with her music Kissing while Olamide was crowned Best Male Artiste in West Africa with the song Bobo.
